How we actually work
We staff lean. A typical engagement is four to nine people, which means there is nowhere to hide and no layer between you and the client's leadership team. Analysts present their own work. Engineers sit in the steering committee.
We cap travel at two nights a week, we do not bill weekends, and we protect one day a fortnight for internal research — the source of most of what you'll find in our Insights section.
Own the outcome
We are measured on the metric the client is measured on. If the number does not move, the engagement did not work — regardless of what was delivered.
Say the hard thing early
Bad news does not improve with age. If the business case has stopped working, you hear it in week three, not at the steering committee.
Build for the team that inherits it
Every system we ship is documented, tested and handed over. We consider an engagement failed if you need us to keep it running.

Senior Engagement Manager — Financial Services

Lead multi-workstream engagements for banking and payments clients, from diagnostic through delivery. You will own the client relationship, the commercial outcome and a team of six to twelve consultants and engineers.
What we're looking for
- 7+ years in strategy or transformation consulting, with financial services depth
- Track record owning engagements end to end, including delivery accountability
- Comfortable challenging a client's own business case with evidence
- Technically literate enough to hold your own in an architecture review

Operations Consultant
SingaporeFull-time
Run operational diagnostics and improvement programmes across manufacturing, logistics and public sector clients in APAC. Heavy on data work and time on site — you will spend more of this role on a factory floor than in a meeting room.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years in operations consulting, industrial engineering or plant management
- Fluent in SQL and comfortable in Python for analysis
- Process mining experience welcome but not required — we will teach it
- Willing to travel up to two nights a week within APAC
Engineering

Principal Engineer — Platform

Set the technical direction on our largest modernisation programmes. You will write architecture decision records, review the ones others write, and stay close enough to the code to know whether the design survived contact with reality.
What we're looking for
- 10+ years building and running production distributed systems
- Experience leading a legacy replacement or large-scale migration
- Strong in at least two of TypeScript, Go, Python, JVM
- Able to explain an architectural trade-off to a CFO without condescension

Engineering Apprentice (Career Changers)
San Francisco, US / London, UKFull-time
A paid 18-month apprenticeship for career changers with no professional software background. Structured mentorship, real client work from month four, and a permanent engineering role on completion. We have run this since 2020 and 34 people have come through it.
What we're looking for
- No professional software engineering experience required
- Demonstrable self-directed learning — a project, a course, something you built
- Prior career in any field; we have taken teachers, nurses, machinists and accountants
- Based in or able to relocate to San Francisco or London
Data & AI

Data Scientist — AI Practice

Take AI use cases from feasibility triage to production, with the evaluation and governance evidence that gets them approved. You will build evaluation harnesses before models, and you will be expected to recommend not proceeding when the numbers say so.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years applied ML with systems that reached production
- Rigorous about evaluation design and error cost asymmetry
- Experience with model governance in a regulated environment is an advantage
- Genuinely comfortable saying a use case does not clear the bar
