About Anix

We were built to close the gap between advice and delivery.

Anix Solutions was founded in 2011 by three consultants and two engineers who were tired of watching good strategy die in implementation. We built the firm we wished we could hire.

Our story

In 2011 our founders were on opposite sides of the same problem. Three of them were strategy consultants handing 200-page recommendations to clients who had no realistic path to executing them. Two were engineers inheriting those recommendations as a scope document written by people who had never shipped software.

The failure mode was always the same. The strategy assumed capabilities the organisation did not have. The build optimised for the specification rather than the outcome. Eighteen months later the programme was quietly restructured and nobody could say what had changed.

Anix was built to remove the handoff. We take engagements end to end — the market analysis, the operating model, the architecture, the code, and the change management that makes it stick. One team, one accountability line, one set of numbers at the end.

Fourteen years later we are 180 people across San Francisco, London and Singapore, and we still staff every engagement the same way: a partner who owns the outcome, consultants who understand the business, and engineers who have shipped production systems at scale.

Our mission

To make ambitious change achievable — by holding ourselves to the same outcome our clients are measured on.

Our vision

A market where no board has to choose between the firm that understands the business and the firm that can build the system.

What we stand for

Six commitments we are willing to be held to

These are not aspirations. Each one has a mechanism behind it that a client can point at when we fall short.

  • Own the outcome

We are measured on the metric the client is measured on. If the number does not move, the engagement did not work — regardless of what was delivered.

  • Say the hard thing early

Bad news does not improve with age. If the business case has stopped working, you hear it in week three, not at the steering committee.

  • Build for the team that inherits it

Every system we ship is documented, tested and handed over. We consider an engagement failed if you need us to keep it running.

  • Evidence over instinct

Recommendations carry their working. You get the model, the assumptions and the sensitivities, not just the conclusion.

  • Small teams, senior people

No pyramid staffing. The partner who sold the work is in the weekly, and the median tenure on an engagement team is nine years.

  • Leave the pitch better

We publish our methods, open-source our internal tooling, and train client teams to do what we did without us.

Leadership

The people who will be in your steering committee

Partner-level attention is not a sales promise here. Every engagement over $500k has a named partner in the weekly.

  • Amara spent eleven years in strategy practice across financial services and industrials before co-founding Anix. She leads the firm's largest transformation engagements and chairs the investment committee. She holds a DPhil in economics from Oxford and sits on the board of two mid-market industrial groups. Her research on why transformation business cases fail at the operating-model layer is the most downloaded paper we have published.

  • Julian has been building production systems for twenty-two years, the last fourteen at Anix. He was principal engineer on core platform replacements at two systemically important banks before co-founding the firm, and still reviews architecture decision records on every engagement over $2m. He argues, persuasively, that most legacy modernisation failures are governance failures wearing a technical costume.

  • Priya founded the firm's Data & AI practice in 2019 after a decade leading machine learning teams in healthcare and insurance. She is unusually sceptical about AI for a person who runs an AI practice, which clients find reassuring. She led the evaluation methodology now used on every model Anix deploys and advises a national regulator on model governance standards.

  • Marcus leads operational performance work across manufacturing, logistics and public sector. He came to consulting from fifteen years running plants, which shows in how quickly he loses patience with process maps that do not match what the floor actually does. He has run improvement programmes across 60+ sites in nineteen countries.

  • Elena leads the firm's financial services practice from London. She specialises in regulatory-driven change — open banking, MiFID II, operational resilience — and the awkward reality that compliance programmes are usually the only funded route to fixing infrastructure nobody would otherwise pay to replace. Formerly a regulator herself.

  • David runs delivery across the software practice: 90 engineers across three offices. He owns the firm's delivery standards, which are stricter than most clients' own, and the apprenticeship programme that has taken 34 people from career-change to production engineer since 2020.

  • Hannah leads organisation design and change management. Her background is organisational psychology rather than consulting, and she built the firm's adoption telemetry approach — treating change programmes as instrumented systems with leading indicators rather than communications campaigns with a launch date.

  • Kenji opened the Singapore office in 2022 and leads the APAC practice. He works primarily on market entry and cross-border operating model design, with deep experience in the regulatory divergence between ASEAN markets that makes regional platform strategies harder than they look on a slide.
